Summary

KempDec Markdown is a text editor that runs locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit or share personal data. The documents you write stay on the device itself.

Who we are

The app is built by KempDec, a Brazilian technology company. For anything related to this policy, including your rights as a data subject, write to contato@kempdec.com.

What the app collects

Nothing. There is no sign-up, no email, no request for camera, microphone, location, contacts or files beyond the ones you choose to open. There is no user account, no telemetry, no third-party trackers and no advertising.

Where your documents live

In the app's private storage on your device, as markdown. They are not sent to any server. Uninstalling the app erases that storage — so keep a copy of anything that matters before uninstalling.

When you use Share or Save, you choose the destination, and from that point the document is handled under the rules of the service or app you chose.

Third-party services

The web version loads fonts from Google Fonts and is served through a content delivery network. Those services log the request's IP address, as any internet request does, and that is outside our control. The installed desktop and mobile apps make none of those requests.

Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive appear in the interface marked Coming soon and are switched off. This policy will be updated before that changes.

Children

The app is not directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Brazil's LGPD (Law 13.709/2018) grants you access, correction, portability and deletion of your personal data. Since we collect none, there is nothing for us to hand over, correct or erase — your documents are on your device, under your direct control, and you can delete or export them at any time without going through us.

About this Beta

This policy covers the Beta version, distributed for evaluation. The Beta may contain defects and may change without notice.

Changes to this policy

If it changes, the date at the top changes with it. Any change affecting the handling of personal data will be announced inside the app before it takes effect.
